Dr. Linda M. Garverick is a leadership consultant, process facilitator, and executive coach. She works with executive leaders in the technology, healthcare, academic, and non-profit sectors. She specializes in coaching both technically trained leaders and female executives.
Dr. Garverick is the originator of the Coactive Transformational Leadership Program, or Coactive TLP: a leadership program for graduate women in STEM disciplines. Drawing from the distinct disciplines of engineering practice and corporate leadership training, Coactive TLP imparts critical professional skills to improve the quality, duration, and authenticity of careers for women now embarking on this rewarding journey. Participants learn how to operate powerfully in male-dominated workplaces by raising awareness and honing skills in communication, managing upward, self-care & resiliency, and building supportive relationships with others.
Dr. Garverick pioneered a group coaching process to engage rising stars and instill lasting organizational change and collegiality. This cost-effective, customized leadership program gathers a peer group for periodic sessions, which include both teaching and facilitated dialogue. Teaching segments are used to improve communication skills and develop a participative leadership style, as well as build awareness of issues that limit organizational performance or employee engagement. Facilitated dialogue is used to share knowledge and experience among participants and build the professional relationships necessary to ripple change throughout an organization. An example of a group coaching process is the program created to advance collegiality in the Case School of Engineering.
